Spotlight on…Our Executive Vice President

As the second-in-command at Jason International, our Executive Vice President, Jerry Prewitt, boasts a long history of managerial experience.

After graduating from high school, Jerry spent a year at Arkansas State University, and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. His next three years were spent in the military, where he served two tours in the Vietnam War. He believes very strongly in the importance of military service, and that patriotic spirit continues through the lives of his two sons who have served in the Army, Marines, and Air Force.

Though he considered a career in the military, he decided instead to settle down with his wife, Connie, and finish school. Jerry graduated from Arkansas State University with a BS in Accounting, and went on to work for many years in the hospitality and poultry industries. After working in both California and Colorado, he moved back to Arkansas and served as CFO and eventually COO of Villines Food, Inc.

In 1997, Jerry was hired as the Controller for Jason International. He moved from there into the role of VP of Finance, and in 2007 was promoted to the Executive VP position. Jerry is very confident about the future of Jason. “Although the economy has been tough this past year, especially for the housing industry, Jason remains solid financially,” says Prewitt. “We are a strong company, and are in a much better position than most of our competitors.”

We are proud to have such a confident, capable executive helping to lead our company into the new year. Jerry resides in the Little Rock area with his wife, and in his free time enjoys various shooting sports and hanging out with his grandchildren.
